Who is Shonelle Siegmann?
I'm Shonelle, a naturopath and western herbalist based on a farm in Clackline, Western Australia, about an hour east of Perth CBD in the heart of the Wheatbelt. I hold an Advanced Diploma of Naturopathy and an Advanced Diploma of Western Herbal Medicine, and I'm a professional member of the Australian Natural Therapies Association (ATMS).
I've been in clinical practice for over eight years and my heart lies in fertility, preconception, pregnancy, postpartum recovery, and women's and family health. That said, I also love supporting men, children of all ages, and whole families through a huge range of health concerns. If you're not sure whether I'm the right fit for what you're going through, just reach out and ask.
Where is Shonelle Siegmann Naturopathy located?
I'm based in Clackline in the WA Wheatbelt, roughly an hour from Perth CBD and easy to reach from Northam, Toodyay, and surrounding rural communities. All consultations are held via telehealth over Zoom or phone, so you can access quality naturopathic care from your own home, wherever you are in Australia or internationally. No travel required.
If you're local to the Northam or Toodyay area and have questions about how that works for you, please get in touch at hello@shonellesiegmann.com or SMS 0400 614 528.
Is there a naturopath in the Wheatbelt?

I currently hold consultations on Thursdays 3:30pm to 5:00pm and Saturdays 9:00am to 1:00pm, with additional appointments available by arrangement. You can book online any time at shonellesiegmann.com/book-in.
What is naturopathy and how does it work?
Naturopathy is a form of natural healthcare that looks for the underlying cause of what's happening in your body, rather than just managing symptoms. Treatment brings together dietary and lifestyle changes, vitamin and mineral supplementation, and herbal medicine, with the aim of helping you understand your own health so you can support yourself for the long term.
It all begins with your history. An initial consultation goes over who you are, what has happened, and where you are now. Your history and family health picture help me identify which body systems need more support, and from there I put together a plan that's genuinely tailored to you. That might be simple dietary tweaks, or it might be more complex meal planning, herbal tinctures, nutraceutical prescriptions, or lifestyle advice. Sometimes I'll suggest pathology or functional testing to look deeper at what your body needs.
I also believe that modern clinical naturopathy and traditional knowledge aren't in conflict. I follow the current research and I value the practices and knowledge of herbalists refined over hundreds of years. Both matter.
I won't pretend there are quick fixes because there aren't. But I can absolutely help with symptoms while we're starting the longer process of healing, and follow-up consultations keep things on track as your body changes.
What services does Shonelle Siegmann Naturopathy offer?
I offer a range of naturopathic consultations and programs, including initial and follow-up consultations via telehealth, a customised fertility program, a trimester one pregnancy nausea consult, and acute consultations for short-term concerns. I also offer functional pathology testing, the FoodFit Compatibility Program and Report, and Hair Tissue Mineral Analysis (HTMA). You can explore all services at shonellesiegmann.com/naturopathy and browse consultation packages at shonellesiegmann.com/consultation-packages.
What are the benefits of naturopathy for women's health?
Naturopathy takes a whole-body approach to women's health that goes beyond just managing symptoms. Rather than looking at each complaint in isolation, I look at how your hormones, gut, thyroid, nervous system, nutrition, and lifestyle are all interconnected and influencing each other.
For women, this can make a real difference for conditions like PCOS, endometriosis, thyroid dysfunction, irregular cycles, PMS, perimenopause, low iron, and chronic fatigue, as well as for major life stages like preconception, pregnancy, and postpartum recovery. The goal is always to get to the root of what's happening and support your body to do what it's designed to do, with realistic, sustainable changes you can actually stick to.
Can naturopathy assist with postpartum recovery?
Absolutely, and it's actually one of my favourite areas to work in. The postpartum period, or fourth trimester, is one of the most physically and hormonally demanding times in a woman's life, and it's so often under-supported.
I work with women on postnatal depletion, blood nourishment after birth, hormonal rebalancing, breastfeeding support, sleep, mood, and energy. Whether you're a few weeks postpartum or a few years and still not feeling like yourself, there's a lot we can do. I've also written a dedicated ebook on postnatal depletion if you'd like to explore before booking, available at shonellesiegmann.com/shop/ebooks.
What conditions do you support?
My primary focus areas are fertility and reproductive health, pregnancy and postpartum recovery, and women's and family health. Within that I see a lot of natural fertility support and cycle tracking for women and men, preconception care and preparation, supporting IUI, IVF, and other assisted reproduction pathways, miscarriage support (including chemical pregnancy, missed miscarriage, and late loss), PCOS, endometriosis, adenomyosis, and other reproductive disorders.
I also see clients through pregnancy across all three trimesters for nausea, gestational diabetes support, and nutritional needs, and I offer birth preparation herbal support, postpartum and fourth trimester recovery, breastfeeding support, and postnatal depletion.
Outside of that, I work with thyroid conditions (hypo, hyper, and subclinical), iron deficiency and low ferritin, newborns, infants, and children for colic, digestive concerns, and skin health, and general health for individuals, men, and families.
If your concern isn't on this list, please still reach out. I see a broad range of presentations and will let you know honestly if I'm the right fit.
What modalities do you use? Do you practice homeopathy or iridology?
My primary modalities are nutrition and herbal medicine. By making changes to diet and lifestyle, and supporting the body where it's needed with nutritional supplements and herbs, we see really significant improvements to health. This is the core of what I do.
I'm not a qualified homeopath and I don't run dedicated homeopathic consultations, but as a naturopath I can and do prescribe homeopathics, flower essences, and tissue salts as part of a broader treatment plan. I actually reach for these quite often, particularly for clients with sensitive constitutions who respond beautifully to gentler remedies, or alongside herbal tinctures where I think they'll add real value. They're a genuinely useful part of the toolkit.
As for iridology, I trained in it and used it in my face-to-face clinic for years. In a telehealth setting it's a bit trickier to do properly, so I primarily use clinical questioning, your symptom picture, physical examination, and pathology testing to build a picture of what's going on. I also work alongside any confirmed diagnosis from your GP or medical specialist.
What testing do you offer?
My clinical toolkit includes a range of functional and conventional pathology testing: HTMA (hair tissue mineral analysis) to assess mineral levels and heavy metal burden, microbiome stool and vaginal microbiome analysis, comprehensive hormone profiles for both women and men, standard pathology arranged via your GP or through private request, MTHFR and DNA testing, and a range of specialty functional panels including nutritional, thyroid, and metabolic testing.
You can learn more at shonellesiegmann.com/pathology-testing.
What supplements or remedies might you prescribe?
Depending on what your body needs, I may recommend nutritional supplements (vitamins, minerals, and nutraceuticals at therapeutic doses), western herbal liquid formulas tailored to you individually, eastern herbal medicine where appropriate, homeopathic remedies, flower essences, tissue salts, and tea blends. Dietary and lifestyle modifications are always a core part of the plan too, not an afterthought.
My approach is practical and I always take your budget and lifestyle into account. I genuinely believe that dietary changes, lifestyle modifications, and mindset shifts are just as important as any supplement you take. I always ask for your feedback to make sure what I suggest actually works for your real life.
What are practitioner only products? Can't I just buy supplements from the supermarket?
I stock a carefully selected range of supplements from Australia's most trusted supplement companies, rigorously researched and tested to make sure they're actually effective.
Practitioner only products can only be prescribed by qualified practitioners, and there's a real reason for that. They're formulated at higher doses and in more bioavailable forms than most supplements you'll find over the counter. Many supermarket or pharmacy supplements contain poorly absorbed forms of nutrients at low doses, which results in little therapeutic benefit and, honestly, rather expensive urine.
By prescribing practitioner-grade products I can dose therapeutically and monitor your progress properly.
I don't exclusively stock one brand because I genuinely don't think any single brand has everything. I find the best products at the best price for each individual client. If you're travelling and need a refill, get in touch to check what's available. Practitioner only products cannot be sold without a prescription.
You can browse my supplement range at shonellesiegmann.com/shop/supplements, or register for retail product access through my referral link for discounts on retail ranges delivered straight to your door.
Can I buy a water filter system recommended by a naturopath?
Yes! I stock and recommend Zazen water filters, which are the system I personally use and trust. Good quality water is something I feel strongly about and it's a simple but meaningful upgrade for your whole family's health. You can find them in my shop at shonellesiegmann.com/shop.
Is naturopathy safe?
Natural therapies are often thought of as completely safe, but there are always safety considerations to factor in for every individual. Part of my intake process is making sure there are no potentially serious or life-threatening concerns that require urgent medical attention first. I also need to know your current medications and treatments so I can check for any interactions with nutritional or herbal supplements.
My attitude is always safety first, full stop. I work alongside your GP and medical team, not in opposition to them.
Do I need to keep seeing my GP as well?
Yes, absolutely. Naturopathy is complementary to conventional medical care, not a replacement for it. I work alongside your existing healthcare team and will always refer you back to your GP or a specialist when that's the right call. For some testing and diagnostic workup, your GP's involvement is required, and I'll guide you through that process.
Are consultations covered by Medicare?
Unfortunately naturopathic consultations aren't currently covered by Medicare, though there are ongoing conversations within the industry about whether this may change in the future.
Do you offer health fund rebates?
Some private health funds do offer rebates for naturopathic consultations depending on your level of cover. I'm a member of ATMS (Australian Natural Therapies Association), which is recognised by a number of health funds. I'd recommend checking directly with your fund to confirm your entitlements.
How much do consultations cost?
For current consultation fees and package options, please visit the consultation packages page or head to book in to see what's available. Gift vouchers are also available here if you'd like to give the gift of a consultation to someone you love.
How do I pay? What payment methods do you accept?
I try to make payment as easy as possible. For consultations I accept direct bank transfer, and card payment via Stripe. If you're local and we've arranged something in person, I also accept cash. Supplements and products through my online shop can be purchased via Afterpay, which is a great option if you'd like to spread the cost.
For packages, I'm also happy to arrange a personal payment plan if you'd like to split the cost over a few weeks. Just get in touch and we can work something out that suits you. Nobody should miss out on getting their health sorted because of timing around money.
Do you offer payment plans?
Yes, for packages I can arrange a personal payment plan directly with you. It's not automated we just have a conversation about what works and I'll set it up from there. If this is something you'd like to explore, reach out at hello@shonellesiegmann.com or SMS 0400 614 528 before booking and we'll figure it out together.
Does Shonelle Siegmann Naturopathy provide telehealth consultations?
Yes, all consultations are via telehealth. I see clients over Zoom or phone, which means you can access quality naturopathic care from your own home, whether you're in rural WA, interstate, or overseas. For clients in the Wheatbelt and surrounding areas, telehealth is often far more practical than driving to Perth, and I find it's just as thorough and connected as being in the same room.
Are there online naturopathy consultations available in Australia?
Yes! I offer telehealth naturopathy consultations to clients all over Australia and internationally. If you're looking for an online naturopath who specialises in fertility, women's health, pregnancy, postpartum care, or family health, I'd love to work with you. You can book at shonellesiegmann.com/book-in.
How can I find a naturopath specialising in fertility support in Western Australia?
I'm Shonelle Siegmann, a naturopath based in the WA Wheatbelt with a primary focus on fertility, natural conception support, preconception care, IVF support, and reproductive health for both women and men. I see clients across Western Australia and Australia-wide via telehealth. If you're looking for a naturopath who truly specialises in this space and will work alongside your medical team, I'd love to hear from you. You can learn more about my fertility program at shonellesiegmann.com/fertility-program.
How can I book a consultation with Shonelle Siegmann Naturopathy?
You can book directly online at shonellesiegmann.com/book-in. If you have questions before booking, please reach out by email at hello@shonellesiegmann.com or SMS 0400 614 528 (SMS is preferred).
What should I expect at my first consultation?
Your initial consultation is a comprehensive conversation covering your health history, current symptoms, diet, lifestyle, stress, sleep, medications, and health goals. The more you can share, the better I can tailor a plan that actually works for you.
After your appointment you'll receive a personalised health plan which may include dietary recommendations, lifestyle suggestions, herbal or nutritional prescriptions, and any testing I think would be beneficial. Follow-up consultations let me check in on how things are working, review any pathology or testing results, and adjust your prescription as your body responds and changes.
Do you only see women?
Not at all. While my primary clinical passion is fertility, women's health, and motherhood, I also see men, children of all ages, and whole families. Male fertility is a particular area of interest for me because sperm health contributes 50% to conception outcomes, and it's so often overlooked in the fertility conversation.
Do you see clients outside of Western Australia?
Yes! Telehealth makes it possible to work with clients anywhere in Australia and internationally.
Do you have resources I can access before booking?
I do! There's a range of free resources on my website including a recipe ebook, articles, and health guides at shonellesiegmann.com/free-resources. I've also written in-depth ebooks on preconception care and postnatal depletion, available in the shop if you'd like to go deeper before your first appointment.
My partner doesn't believe in naturopathy. What would you say to them?
Honestly? Their scepticism is fair. There's a lot of noise in the wellness space and not all of it deserves trust. I get it.
What I'd say is that modern clinical naturopathy isn't crystal healing or magical thinking. The nutrition and herbal medicine I practise is grounded in biochemistry and physiology, and a growing body of peer-reviewed research supports the use of specific nutrients and herbal compounds for specific health conditions. I follow that research and I update my practice when the evidence changes. I'm also a stickler for safety: checking for medication interactions, referring back to GPs, and never overpromising on outcomes.
That said, I'd also gently say this: you don't need permission to look after your own health. If you've been struggling and conventional medicine hasn't given you the answers or the relief you're looking for, exploring naturopathy is a reasonable next step. Your partner doesn't have to believe in it for it to work for you. And in my experience, a lot of sceptical partners come around once they see results.
I've tried naturopathy before and it didn't work. Why would this be different?
This is such an honest question and I really appreciate it when people ask it, because it tells me they're serious about getting well and tired of wasting time and money.
The truth is that naturopathy requires time and genuine commitment to work, and not every experience with a practitioner is the same. Sometimes people come in expecting a quick fix and the underlying issue is complex and layered. Sometimes the plan wasn't followed consistently enough for the body to respond. Sometimes it was simply the wrong fit between practitioner and client, or the practitioner didn't dig deep enough into the root cause.
What I can promise is that I don't do generic protocols. I take a detailed history, I look at your whole picture, and I adjust as we go based on how your body responds. I'm also honest when something isn't working and we need to change direction. Progress isn't always linear, but if we're tracking it together, we can tell the difference between slow progress and no progress.
If you'd like to have a conversation before committing to a consultation, please reach out. I'd rather have a frank chat first than have you spend money you're not confident about.
How long until I see results?
This is genuinely one of the most common questions I get, and I always answer it honestly: it depends.
For acute issues like a simple gut upset or a short-term hormonal disruption, you might feel a difference within days to a couple of weeks. For deeper or more chronic conditions like thyroid dysfunction, long-standing fertility challenges, complex hormone imbalances, or postnatal depletion, we're usually talking months, not weeks. The body didn't get to where it is overnight and it won't fully recover overnight either.
What I can say is that most clients notice something shifting within the first four to six weeks: better energy, improved sleep, less bloating, a clearer head. Those early wins matter and they tell us we're heading in the right direction. The longer work builds from there.
I'll always give you an honest timeframe at your initial consultation based on your specific situation, and I'll check in on progress at every follow-up so we're never just guessing.
Do you work with clients who are on prescription medications?
Yes, and this is actually really important to get right. I need to know every medication you're taking before I prescribe anything, because some herbs and nutrients interact with pharmaceutical drugs, occasionally in ways that can be significant. This isn't a reason to avoid naturopathy; it's a reason to work with a naturopath who takes it seriously.
I always cross-check your medications before prescribing and I'll be upfront with you if there's something I can't safely add to your current treatment. Your GP is also part of this conversation when needed.
How is seeing a naturopath different from just Googling supplements?
Google can tell you that magnesium is good for sleep or that zinc matters for fertility. What it can't do is tell you whether your specific symptoms point to a deficiency, what form of that nutrient your body will actually absorb, what dose is therapeutic for your weight and health status, whether it interacts with something you're already taking, or whether there's a completely different root cause that supplements alone won't touch.
That's what a clinical consultation does. I look at your full picture (symptoms, history, diet, lifestyle, pathology) and make recommendations that are specific to you, not to a general Google search about someone who might be loosely similar to you. The difference in outcome is significant.
